Trophy: A Glass Globe.
The Home Internationals was started in 1980, with sponsorship from Pimms. The CA Centenary Year Book states that the Glass Globe was provided by Frank Cooper’s marmalade as they were sponsors in 1983 (there once was a mahogany stand).
From 1980 to 1982, Scotland, England and Wales played a triangular contest; from 1983 to 1987 all four home countries played in a knock-out format with a play-off for third and fourth places; since then each team has played all the others. Except in 1988 matches were best-of-three. Scotland won the first event, and Ireland won in 1988, 1999, 2001 and 2013; on every other occasion England has triumphed.
