Spring Weekend 2016

The SCA Spring Weekend was played at Kelvingrove in changeable weather conditions. During Saturday the weather went from hail which lay on the ground for a good 15 minutes to bright sunshine. Sunday was consistent: damp and cold. The event was run as an Egyptian and contested by thirteen players from Aberdeen, Auchincruive and Kinross plus the usual crowd from the central belt. The event was won by Roger Binks of Meadows. He could have been pipped by local lad Richard Sparrow, if Richard had managed to beat Alistair Malcolm of Kinross, but Alistair won the sudden death finish in their game and Roger was the overall winner.
