Scottish Golf Croquet Championship 2022

Alan Wilson won the Scottish GC Championship beating George Plant in a very close and tense final, 5-7, 7-6, 7-6. George had looked like the stronger player going into the final having won all of his five cross-block games and then the semi against Brian Durward, playing in his first GC event. Alan had a slower start winning just three in his block, but improving as the day went on, beat Rosemary Saunders Robertson 7-6 in the semi-final and managed to keep focused to ensure victory in the final.
The spectators were happy to enjoy the sunshine while the games continued and were even happier to join Alan in Bennets for a celebratory drink.
