Secretary Trophy 2022

After tight games all going to time, Bruce Bennet was the new name for the Secretary Trophy.
Players enjoyed good weather. Lawn speed was variable with several uneven and irregular patches.
Games were 14-point advanced with bisques over 80 minutes; 3 and 5 as the lift hoops, per SCA variation. For seven players a single block would have been possible, but the Egyptian scoring system was adopted to anticipate alterations to the field; in the event, Jamieson Walker completed two games and most played five or four rounds. Only 3 out of 15 games were completed within time, resulting in several tense finishes. Handicaps ranged from 4½ to 22, with Stefan moving from 6 to 5. Congratulations to Bruce, and thanks to his opponents for participating.
