Day 2 (Sunday):

Play stopped by flooding.
(Note the balls from the game between Jamieson Walker and Robert Lay, waiting for someone to venture into the puddles to mark their positions.)

Terry Foster inspects the state of the middle lawn.

The flooding at its worst, about 2.30pm.

A few hours later.

Players in the two Sunday evening games: James Hopgood (right) seen through the pavilion door, and Allan Hawke reflected in it.

Day 3 (Monday):

James Hopgood approaching 1-back in his game against Terry Foster.

Allan Hawke's lift shot to hit Martin Stephenson's ball by the peg in their two-ball endgame.

Allan tries for another dramatic +1 win in his game against James, with double-banker Robert Lay in the background and David Appleton watching with interest.

Allan's hampered shot after rover.
(He failed to roquet black, and James hit in and pegged out red to win +1 on time.)

David in play against Allan in the penultimate round.

Sunshine and shadows on the lawns as evening approaches.
(Robert Lay and Tony Whateley on the left; James Hopgood to the right.)

Where is the red ball?
David and Fergus join Martin in the search, while Martin's opponent James goes off to find a replacement - fortunately not needed as the original ball was found.

Now what?  Martin considers what to do in his final-round game against David.

This is how dark it was by the time James finished the last game!
