Until further notice, the expense policy, for players representing the Scottish Croquet Association, is as follows:
- Players participating in qualifying events in the UK are entitled to claim up to £30 per playing day for travel and accommodation, with a maximum entitlement of £120.
- Players participating in qualifying events overseas are entitled to claim up to £60 per playing day for travel and accommodation, with a maximum entitlement of £120. For the avoidance of doubt, "overseas" includes the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Ireland but not any of the Scottish, English and Welsh islands.
- Events qualifying for funding will be listed by the SCA at the beginning of each year. Exceptional circumstances may occur and will be given consideration.
- It is expected that representative players will take all necessary steps to minimise their expenses. e.g. by economy travel, car sharing or accepting offers of host accommodation.
- All expense claims must be supported by relevant receipts.
- All claims should be submitted to the current Treasurer.
N.B. For reporting purposes,
- All claims will remain anonymous
- In instances where a player waives their entitlement to claim, this will be treated as an anonymous donation.
- Should claimants not wish the donation to remain anonymous, they would be required to make the claim and personally donate a sum of their choosing.
