Meadows Croquet Club is situated at the west end of the Meadows in Edinburgh and has three lawns and a well equipped pavilion. The lawns used to be bowling greens and with the help of a lottery grant from sportScotland the original two bowling greens were converted into three first class croquet lawns. The club is the home of the National Croquet Centre and hosts major tournaments and matches.
The club welcomes croquet players of all standards, from complete beginners upwards and has a busy programme of both Association and Golf Croquet as well as a lively social scene in the winter. The club also offers corporate evenings, for entertaining clients, staff nights out or private parties. Pay and Play croquet is available, though you should contact the club first.
The lawns are also available for bowls, especially for local bowls groups, by prior arrangement, and the pavilion can be hired by local community groups.
